AICC to hold workshop on N-deal on Aug 16, 17
Hyderabad, Aug 10: Media Cell of the All India Congress Committee (AICC) will organise a two-day workshop on nuclear deal and its benefits for party spokespersons of Southern states on August 16 and 17 in the city.
Addressing a press conference here on Sunday, Aug 10, Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee President D Srinivas said nearly 400 delegates from Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Andhra Pradesh would take part in the workshop.
The workshop was aimed at educating them on how to create awareness among the people about the deal and its importance.
He said AICC Media Cell Chairman and In-charge of Party Affiars in Andhra Pradesh M Veerappa Moily would be the Coordinator of the workshop in which Finance Minister P Chidambaram, External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee, Commerce Minister Kamal Nath, Union Minister for Social Justice and Empowement Meira Kumar, National Security Advisor M K Narayanan, Former Foreign Secretary Shyam Saran and AICC General Secretary Jayanti Natarajan would conduct classes for the spokerpersons.
Mr Srinivas, along with Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy, would take part in the inaugural session.
