Reference rate fixed at Rs 42.20 per Dollar

Mumbai, Aug 8 (UNI) The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) today fixed the reference rate for US dollar at Rs 42.20 per unit, up by 31 paise, against yesterday's rate of Rs 41.89 per dollar.

The reference rate for Euro was quoted 54 paise down at Rs 64.27 per unit, against yesterday's rate of Rs 64.81.

The exchange rates for Pound and Japanese Yen against the Rupee were quoted at Rs 81.4861 (81.7337) per Pound and Rs 38.47 (38.27) per 100 units respectively, data received from RBI said.
