Mother strangulates baby to death

Siliguri, Aug 8 (UNI) In a case of female infanticide, a woman strangulated her three-day-old child to death in Patiranjote under Matigara Police Station in Siliguri sub-division.

Police said Anita Das (22), along with her husband and father-in-law, later buried the baby in the Mahananda river bed.

All the three have been arrested.

Anita has two more daughters and desperately wanted a boy.
