Constable among 2 killed in road mishap

Ludhiana, Aug 8 (UNI) A Punjab Police constable and a clerk at the SMD office in Zira were killed when the car in which they were travelling collided head-on with a truck near Mullanpur village today.

According to the police, the constable identified as Jugraj Singh and clerk Kuldip Singh were returning to Zira from Ludhiana when the mishap occured. The constable was also attached to the Zira SDM.

The police registered a case against the truck driver, who absconded after the accident.
