Allahabad Bank raises BPLR by 50 bps

New Delhi, Aug 8 (UNI) Allahabad Bank today hiked its Benchmark Prime Lending Rate (BPLR) by 0.50 per cent to 14 per cent from 13.50 per cent.

''The Bank's Board of Directors in a meeting approved upward revision in BPLR, which will be effective from today only,'' it said in a statement.

However, the Bank will not pass on the hike to the existing housing loan, personal loan, education and auto loan customers.

Moreover, the change in BPLR will also be not applicable to the new housing loans up to Rs 30 lakh.
