TN CM sanctions solatium to deceased family
Chennai, Aug 5 (UNI) Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi sanctioned Rs one lakh from the relief fund to the family of Surender, who died at Pappakoil village in Nagapattinam District of Tamil Nadu on July 19.
A release from the Secretariat here last night said, Mr Karunanidhi after learning about the tragic incident, expressed his condolences to the bereaved members of the family and sanctioned Rs one lakh as solatium.
The 12-year-old boy Surender died when he was enmeshed in sand, after it fell over him, while playing on a ground.
