Qimpro consultants and BestPrax club announce Qimpro convention 2008

Mumbai, Aug 5 (ANI/Business Wire India): The 15th Qimpro Convention, is jointly hosted by Qimpro Consultants Pvt Ltd and BestPrax Club Pvt Ltd, and will be held on 7 and 8 August at The Rooftop, Trident, Nariman Point in Mumbai.

The 2-day event, applauding excellence in improvement and innovations, is a platform to recognize excellence in team performance and in turn, to recognize excellence in process performance as well as support processes.

Each day will see the short listed organizations in each category presenting their noteworthy projects and practices interspersed with Power Workshops (group activity concluding with a one-point learning) and Leader Speak (industry leaders sharing their insights on our theme).

Day one will focus on improvement projects that have enabled organizations to improve their processes and reduce the cost of poor quality.

Keynote Address: Navin Agarwal, Deputy Executive Chairman, Vedanta Resources Plc. Mr Agarwal led the quality improvement strategy at Sterlite from the front.

Day two will feature innovations in generic managerial practices.eynote Address: Dr R A Mashelkar, President (Global Research Alliance), National Chemical Laboratory. Dr Mashelkar is synonymous with invention and innovation in India.

Qimpro Convention is a seven-month competitive process that starts in January each year. All papers submitted are assessed by an eminent Panel of Examiners. This year, the top scoring twelve papers in improvement and ten papers in innovation will make their presentations to a Panel of Judges at the finals at Qimpro Convention. Our Guest of Honor for the Qimpro Convention Awards Ceremony is Dr J J Irani, Director, TATA Sons. Dr Irani pioneered the quality journey at the House of Tatas and was Qimpro's first client. In the evening on 08 August 2008, Dr Irani will felicitate the winners shortlisted by the independent panels of judges of both days.
