Dy CEO among 2 suspended over Greater Noida land acquisition case
Lucknow, Aug 5 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati tonight suspended Deputy Chief Executive Officer (Dy CEO) Pramod Kumar Agarwal and General Managar Engineering S A A Rizvi with immediate effect for dereliction of duty into the farmers' land acquisition case at village Bisrak in Greater Noida.
Prima Facie, the CM found the two officials guilty of conducting laxity into the case, official sources said.
The suspension action came following the growing pleas of farmers for help.
Ms Mayawati also ordered probe into the matter and directed the officials to ensure that the farmers were provided compensation for their land on time.
The CM even warned of stern action against the officials, if found guilty.
Besides, Ms Mayawati instructed the chairman of Greater Noida to dispose of the woes of the farmers after visiting the spot.
