Heads of boards and corporations to be appointed in 15 days: Gowda

Mysore, Aug 4 (UNI) State Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President D V Sadananda Gowda today said that Chairmans for the various Boards and Corporations would be nominated in another 15 days.

Speaking to newsmen after participating in the 91st birthday celebrations of Prof D Javare Gowda (Dejagou) here he said there were a large number of aspirants and the party would decided suitable candidates for the posts.

Referring to the allotment of land to NICE which is building Bangalore-Mysore express highway, he said the Government would take decision in the larger interests of the state besides abiding by the supreme court directions in this behalf.

On the Janata Dal(S) leaders joining the BJP party, he said the party would welcome the leaders however, they should follow the party ideology and principles.

Expressing hope that the Janata Dal (S) would support BJP in the election to Legislative Council Chairman tomorrow, he recalled that former Prime Minister and JD (S) Supremo H D Deve Gowda a voted against the congress led UPA Government at the centre during the vote of confidence and he should follow the same policy in tomorrow's vote by opposing Congress.
