Groundnutseed, its oil steady; RBD palm oil falls

Mumbai, Aug 4 (UNI) Prices of groundnutseed and its oil remained steady on scattered buying, while RBD palm oil eased today on lack of fresh demand, traders at the Bombay Commodity Exchange said.

In the oil segment (per ten kgs), cottonseed (refined), rice bran and castor comm fell by Rs three per ten kg each, on poor offtake.

Refined palm oil declined by Rs four on lack of fresh demand.

However, groundnut oil remained steady on scattered buying.

Among seeds (per quintal), groundnutseed remained steady, while javas 60/70, javas 70/80 and javas 80/90 further increased by Rs 50 per quintal each, on lesser stock supply by stockists.

Nigerseed slashed by Rs 50 per quintal on persistent offloading by stock holders.

In de-oil cakes, groundnut extr and undec cottonseed slipped by Rs 200 per metric tonne each, on sustained heavy selling pressure by bulk consumers, traders added.
