Aegis BPO to merge with Philippines' PeopleSupport

New Delhi, Aug 4 (UNI) Aegis BPO, a part of the Essar Group, today said it has entered into an agreement with Philippines' PeopleSupport Inc to merge with its wholly-owned unit.

Aegis will pay 12.5 dollars per share of the Nasdaq-listed PeopleSupport, taking the cash transaction with a total equity value of around 250 million dollars, a statement said.

The transaction will be funded through Essar Groups' internal resources.
