Samjhauta Express' schedule changed
{image-Samjhauta Express1_01082008.jpg news.oneindia.in}Islamabad, Aug 1: The schedule of the Indo-Pak rail link Samjhauta Express has been changed. According to the new schedule, the train will leave for India from Lahore in the morning on Mondays and Thursdays and return later the same day.
The new schedule would come into effect on August 7, the Daily Times quoted Railway Chief Operating Superintendent Javed Anwar as saying in a TV interview. The train will now leave the Lahore Railway Station at 8:00 am on Mondays and Thursdays and return at 4:45 pm the same day, added the paper. Earlier, last year too the train's schedule was changed on May 31, after which the 4608 Lahore-Attari Samjhauta Express and the 4002 Attari-Delhi-Attari Special train ran on every Tuesday and Friday.
