Two killed, one seriously injured in road accident

Tiruchirapalli, Jul 31: Two people were killed and one was seriously injured when a two-wheeler in which they were travelling, collided with a mini-lorry at Manaparrai, near here, on Thursday, July 31.

Police said they were on the way to Dindigul from their native Kodikkapatti village, after performing pujas at their family temple, while the lorry was going in the opposite direction, when the mishap occurred The deceased were identified as S Shanmugam (52) and Manikandan (19). The injured Thiyagarajan, was admitted to Government Headquarters Hospital here in critical condition, police added.
