Konark Express derails, two injured
Gulbarga, Jul 31 (UNI) Two people, including a guard, were injured when the Mumbai-Bhubaneswar Konark express derailed at Gangapur station, under Solapur-Gulbarga section about 40 km from here last night.
Central Railway officials said the engine and two bogies of the train derailed at around 0200 hrs. The guard Jitendra and a passenger travelling in an air conditioned bogie K N Dube, received minor injuries.
The train proceeded to Bhubaneshwar after the officials arranged for a new engine, at around 0600 hrs.
The reason for the derailment was not known as Railway officials were not available to provide details.
