Groundnutseed, its oil and RBD palm oil fall

Mumbai, Jul 31 (UNI) Prices of groundnutseed, its oil and RBD palm oil fell today on lack of fresh demand by stockists, traders at the Bombay Commodity Exchange said.

In the oil segment (per ten kgs), groundnut oil, sunflower exp ref and rapeseed exp were down by Rs 5 per ten kgs each due to sluggish demand by bulk consumers. Refined palm oil also declined further by Rs 2 per ten kg.

However, castor comm, kandla rose by Rs 14 and Rs 7 per ten kg respectively on better buying support, traders said.

Among seeds (per quintal), groundnut seed and groundnut bold 60/70 fell by Rs 25 per quintal each due to sustain heavy selling pressure by stockists.

Castorseed Bombay and castorseed Disa shot up by Rs Rs 70 and Rs 75 per quintal respectively on speculative buying.

All de-oiled cakes remained steady, traders added.
