Schools in Jammu to remain closed till Aug 4

Jammu, Jul 30 (UNI) Summer vacation of all the schools in Jammu zone has been increased by four days till August 4, following continuing agitation on Amarnath land row in the winter capital region, the Jammu and Kashmir government today ordered.

''The Government has ordered that all educational institutions of Jammu division, including recognised private schools up to higher secondary level, scheduled to open on August 1 will now open on Monday, August 4,'' an official spokesman said.

Vacation had started on June 7 for schools falling under summer zone in the state.
