Congress takes on Sushma for her conspiracy theory

New Delhi, Jul 30 (UNI) The Congress today took serious exception to the statement of BJP leader Sushma Swaraj holding the UPA conspiracy responsible for the serial blasts in Bangalore and Ahmedabad, and said "the BJP has exhibited outrageous irresponsibility and blatant opposition." "It shows that the BJP has no faith in India itself. It shows that they are insecure and opportunistic," AICC Spokesman Abhishek Manu Singhvi told mediapersons, while complaining, "This is an insult to India and each Indian. This is cheapening and insult to the Indian intelligence." He said the BJP leadership had shown its true colours by not condemning the "bizarre allegation" made by its senior leader.

"We are not surprised, because it fits in well with all the BJP gimicks," he said, adding that they were functioning as an opposition for the sake of opposition.

Complaining that the BJP had been opposing what they had supported as a ruling party, he cited their change in attitude towards the Indo-US Nuclear deal.

Dr Singhvi said the BJP had made India a laughing stock in the world.

"In the middle of terrorists attacks, it accused the Government of engineering attacks in the country." In this context, he said such accusations only help to strengthen the hands of the terrorists and others who engineered trouble within, the country.
