65-year-old killed followed spat with neighbour

New Delhi, Jul 30 (UNI) A 65-year-old man died after being hit by his neighbour couple following a spat in Jamia Nagar area of south Delhi.

The accused Umar and his wife Nagin Parvin have been arrested, said the police.

The incident took place on Monday night when the victim Mohammad Abdul tied his goat in front of Umar's home.

When Umar objected an argument followed leading to fierce flight between them. Later Umar's wife Parveen joined them and brought an iron rod with which Umar hit Abdul.

Abdul was taken to the AIIMS where doctors declared him brought dead.

A 'maulvi' at a local mosque, Abdul leaves behind five sons and a daughter and none of them were present during the incident.
