UNPA to annouce PM candidate after LS polls : AS Chautala
Jaipur, Jul 29(UNI) Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) General Secretary and sitting MP Ajay Singh Chautala today said the UNPA did not plan to project its Prime Ministerial candidate before the Lok Sabha polls and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati's projection for the post was meant only to face confidence motion related politics.
Talking to reporters here, Mr Chautala said an alliance between the UNPA and Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) was in the pipe line and would be formalised on an appropriate point of time.
However, there should be no confusion over the issue of leadership as TDP Chief N Chandra Babu Naidu continue to be the front leader and the front did not plan to project any one as Prime Ministerial candidate prior to the Lok Sabha polls.
He criticised Samajwadi Party for supporting the UPA government in the trust motion and said the former would have to pay for it in times to come.
On INLD's role and strategy in the next Rajasthan Assembly elections, Mr Chautala said the INLD would contest the polls in alliance with third front and work to strengthen the cause of farmers.
He said the party would never have any truck with the Congress or BJP.
