Two more succumb to Malaria, rain-related ailments claim 61
Mumbai, Jul 29 (UNI) Two more people have succumbed to malaria, taking the toll to 21 in the metropolis.
According to civic officials, a 36-year-old man and a 21-year-old youth were admitted to Kasturba and Sir J J Hospital on July 25 and July 12 for malaria, who succumbed to the disease this morning.
In the period between Monday and Tuesday, 192 people were admitted to the various government hospitals for fever, 48 for gastroenteritis, 13 for leptospirosis, one for dengue and 69 for malaria, the official added.
Meanwhile, the toll due to rain-related ailments has risen to 61, the officials added.
