Caribbean reunion for Prince William, Kate Middleton
London, July 29 : After what has been five weeks of not meeting one another, Kate Middleton jetted 6,000 miles out to the Caribbean to meet boyfriend Prince William as he stepped off his warship.
Although the two have been emailing and phoning each other during Wills' action-packed stint with the Royal Navy on HMS Iron Duke, this will be the first time they are meeting after more than a month.
"Kate has missed him massively. She will be hoping her sailor has a little energy left in the tank for her," the Sun quoted a friend as saying.
Sub lieutenant Wales, as Wills is known on board, has been patrolling the Caribbean hunting for drug smugglers, and in the first week he helped spot a gang of smugglers with 20million pounds-worth of cocaine on board their ocean-going speedboat.
Then last week William was in a Lynx helicopter when marines fired at another boat suspected of drug running.
But although the Navy deployment has been hailed a huge success for William, sources said it was exhausting, with the Prince having to sleep in a cramped cabin with three other sailors and rising at 6am.
Now, with the future king's tour of duty almost at an end, he is planning some rest and relaxation with Middleton.
"As soon as he steps off the ship, he'll be determined to change gear and put his feet up with Kate," a source said.
"They both agreed it was a perfect plan to enjoy two weeks together at their favourite spot," the source added.
