Ashok Leyland Q1 dips 42.66% at Rs 50.56 cr

New Delhi, Jul 29 (UNI) Ashok Leyland Ltd, country's second largest commercial vehicle manufacturer, today said its net profit slipped 42.66 per cent to Rs 50.56 crore for the quarter ended June 2008 from Rs 88.18 crore over the same period last year.

However, the total income increased 16.41 per cent to Rs 1,896.02 crore for Q1FY09 from Rs 1,628.69 crore during the corresponding quarter previous fiscal.
