SkodaIndia hikes prices of all models
New Delhi, Jul 28 (UNI) SkodaIndia, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Czech Republic-based carmaker Skoda Auto, today announced hike of Rs 10,000 to Rs 25,000 across all the models on account of rising input and freight costs which will be effective from August 1.
''The price hike has been necessitated by a variety of cost push factors like surge in freight costs and raw materials. The company has made efforts to absorb maximum costs to keep the price rise marginal so that impact to our valued customers is minimised,'' said Mr Thomas Kuehl, Member Board of Directors (Sales and Marketing).
The luxury carmaker has registered a growth of 69 per cent in sales in June this year as compared to June 2007.
