Bomb scare at two places in Nashik

Nashik, Jul 28 (UNI) Rumours of bombs at two different places in the city sent waves of panic among the citizens here today.

According to sources, an unattended scrap scooter was noticed in the parking of Nihar Housing Society in Jail Road area of Nashik Road suburb, sparking off panic in the area. However, the Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS) team, after thorough inspection of the scooter did not find anything suspicious.

In another incident, an abandoned fire extinguisher cylinder was noticed near Nehru Garden area, in the heart of the city. Police and Bomb Squad rushed to the spot and inspected the cylinder, but found nothing objectionable there also.

Meanwhile, security has been beefed up at important places in the city and district following the terror strikes at Bangalore and Ahmedabad.
