Pak foreign minister says US-led Allied forces not welcome in FATA
London, July 27 : Pakistan Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi, on a visit to the UK, has said that his country will not welcome US-led allied forces in the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA).
Talking to a British TV channel, he said, "there is no need for allied forces' action in the Tribal Areas", reported the Daily Times.
The Pakistani forces were capable enough of dealing with militancy and that the situation would not improve if allied forces launched an attack on the Tribal Areas, the Daily Times quoted the foreign minister as saying.
He said that Pakistan did not receive any positive response from Afghanistan over its suggestions on how to deal with terrorism, adding that the allied forces should perform their responsibilities effectively in Afghanistan.
