Number of pilgrims leaving for Amarnath declines
Jammu, Jul 27 (UNI) Number of pilgrims leaving for the cave shrine of Amarnath in South Kashmir today declined to the season's low at 700 yatris, official spokesman said.
Escorted by security personnel, a fresh batch of 700 pilgrims, including 56 women, 234 'sadhus' and two children, left the base camp here at 0505 hrs, the spokesman told UNI.
The two-month-long Amarnath yatra began on June 17.
