Kathmandu, Jul 27 (UNI) President Dr Ram Baran Yadav is to address the nation this evening about the formation of new government as the protest against vice president Paramanand Jha taking oath in Hindi continues in various parts of the country including the capital.

Dr Yadav is expected to call Maoists to form a new government though they have not been able to garner simple majority needed to form the government.

All the major parties have urged the Maoists to form a consensus government but the Maoists have set some conditions for the formation of new government.

The rebels have said that they would form the government only if other parties guarantee that the government would last for at least two years, dissolve the alliance between the Nepali Congress, UML and MJF and accept their programmes and policies.

That porposal has been rejected by all the major parties. The party has garnered 226 seats in the 601 seat CA.

Meanwhile, the protest against vice president Jha continued for the last few days. Mr Jha had taken oath in Hindi translating from Nepali while the president spoke in Nepali.

There were protests against Mr Jha in Kathmandu and other parts of the country. The demonstrators have demanded apology from him. Mr Jha was elected vice president defeating Maoists candidate last week.
