Live bomb found in Ahmedabad, defused

Ahmedabad, Jul 27: After 16 serial blasts rocked the city of Ahmedabad on Saturday, July 26, two suspected live bombs were found in Hatkeshwar area on Sunday, July 27 in a garbage bin. Following this, the bomb disposal squad rushed into the area to defuse the bomb and conduct further investigations.

Police officials have suspected explosive like substance in the possible live bombs that have been reportedly planted in different parts of old Ahmedabad. They are receiving continous clues on explosives in an around the city. Following the bomb alerts, Police cordoned off the area and have restricted the traffic. Pedestrians have been asked to keep off the area for security purposes.

On Saturday morning, two live bombs were defused in Bangalore as well. This pattern looks similar to that of the blasts that ripped the IT hub of Bangalore on Friday, July 25.

On Saturday, July 26 evening, sixteen coordinated blasts rocked the old city of Ahmedabad, reportedly killing 38 and injuring over 100. The nation has been put on high alert, following these terror attacks.
