BJP's rally over cash-for-vote row on Aug 2
Lucknow, Jul 27 (UNI) The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) would hold a massive rally in the Uttar Pradesh capital on August 2 to protest the cash-for-vote scam during the confidence motion in the Lok Sabha.
Party president Rajnath Singh would be the main speaker during the rally, while several other senior leaders of the state are likely to participate in the rally.
UP media in-charge Narendra Singh Rana said that the rally would be held at Lohia Park in the Chowk area, where more than 50,000 party workers would gather to agitate against the ''undemocratic approach'' of the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government.
He said that the rally would also showcase the use of money power by the Congress and the Samajwadi Party (SP) to win the confidence vote in the Lok Sabha and would demand resignation of the Centre on moral grounds.
Earlier on July 25 and 26, the BJP had organised demonstration at all the district headquarters over the cash-to-vote scam and bewared the people about the illegal way the government won the confidence vote.
