Rich tributes paid to Kargil heroes
Patna, Jul 26 (UNI) People in Bihar today paid rich tributes to the martyrs of Kargil war and recalled their contributions in thwarting the terrorism.
A colourful function was organised to mark the occasion at the 'Kargil Chowk' at the heart of the capital city which was attended by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and several other dignitories.
Wreaths were also placed at the Kargil memorial by Governor R L Bhatia, former Chief Minister Jagannath Mishra, Commandant of Bihar Regimental Centre, Danapur, Brig Rawat and Bihar Leigslative Council Member Sanjay Singh.
The family members of Kargil martyr Nayak Ganesh Prasad, who hailed from Bihar, were also present on the occasion.
The local army unit played the military band to mark the occasion.
