One killed, ten injured in road mishaps
Kolkata, Jul 26 (UNI) A person of a car was killed and ten were injured in road accidents in West Bengal today.
Police said Raju Shaw was killed and his six family members were injured when their private vehicle collided with a stationary vehicle at Punjab More on National Highway 2 in Ranigunj.
All of them, residents of Metiabruz, were returning from pilgrimage in Deogarh.
In another incident in North Kolkata, four pedestrians were seriously injured when a taxi took a sudden U-turn to avoid collision with a private vehicle and hit the persons.
Local people agitated over the incident damaged two cars by pelting stones and other missiles. Police arrested both the drivers.
