Nepal president all set to ask Maoists to form government: sources
Kathmandu, July 26 : Nepal President Dr. Ram Baran Yadav is all set to call upon the Communist Party of Nepal-Maoist (CPN-M) to form the next government, sources said.
Sources further added that the President will call the CPN-M first as it is the largest party in the Constituent Assembly (CA).
Meanwhile, Madhesi People's Rights Forum (MPRF) urged Dr. Yadav that if the CPN-M backs out then their party should be called to form the next government.
According to Kantipur, MPRF Chairman Upendra Yadav told the President during their meeting this morning that either the Maoist or the MPRF must lead the next government since they have emerged as the powerful parties in the elections.
Dr. Yadav has intensified parleys with the political parties since Friday to form the next government.
He is scheduled to hold meetings with the leaders of Terai Madhes Democratic party (TMDP), Sadbhawana party and other fringe parties today.
