Yechury to visit Indore on July 7

Indore, July 25 (UNI) Senior CPM leader and politburo member Sitaram Yechury would arrive here to take part in a programme organised in the memory of party leader Shailendra Shaily on August 7.

State CPM Secretary Badal Saroj told UNI over telephone that a series of lectures was being organised during the fortnight starting from July 24 in the memory of Mr Shaily, former secretary of the CPI(M) Madhya Pradesh state committee.

Mr Yechury would be a speaker during a lecture on the relationship between communalism and imperialism on August 7.

Several prominent personalities including MP Deepankar Mukherjee and journalist P Sainath would be speakers during lectures to be held at Bhopal, Gwalior, Rewa, Shahdol and other cities.

He said the lecture series was not being organised by the party but various organisations.
