Woman, four children found murdered in Palakkad

Palakkad, Jul 25: Police are baffled over the death of a woman and her two children following the recovery of their bodies at Pattambi near here on Friday, July 25.

Police said the body of the woman Lisi was recovered from a septic tank near her house on Wednesday. The bodies of her children Amal (9) and Amrita (3) were found in a sack which was dumped in the forest nearby. Meanwhile, two other children Amalu (12) and Amalya (8) were also found dead in their house on the same day. Their father Rejikumar had gone into hiding, police said. They have spread a dragnet to nab him. The police became suspicious when there was no trace of Lisi and her two children from Wednesday. The police have registered a case.
