Tourism Officer convicted for corruption in Bhopal
Bhopal, Jul 25: A special court of Satna has sentenced three years rigorous imprisonment and a fine of Rs 1000 to Tourism Officer Anuj Pratap Singh for misuse of his position.
On the complaint of Dr I M P Verma of Rewa, a case was lodged against the Tourism Officer on January 10, 2006 and the challan was presented in the court on September 25, 2006. The complaint alleged misappropriation of about Rs 25,000 by not showing in the cash book amount received against receipts of the Tourism Development Corporation. Special Judge S C Upadhyaya delivered the judgement few days ago.
