Rupee opens weaker at 42.21/23 against per USD

Mumbai, Jul 25: The Rupee on Friday, July 25 opened at Rs 42.21/23 against per USD, with a modest loss of six paise from 42.15/16 on Thursday, July 24 close, due to some good Dollar demand from all nationalised banks on reports of weaker trend in Gulf Crude Oil prices.

Lower resuming of the BSE Sensex in the morning session has also affected the downward trend in Forex Market, dealers said. Later, the Rupee fluctuated between 42.20 and 42.35 per USD during the mid morning session.
