Protest against Nepalese Vice-President taking oath in Hindi
Kathmandu, Jul 25 (UNI) The Maoists have joined the protest of students against Vice-President Paramanand Jha taking oath in Hindi.
''Vice President Parmananda Jha taking oath in the Indian language is an act against the interim Constitution,'' Kantipur quoted CPN-Maoist spokesperson Krishna Bahadur Mahara, who is also the Minister for Information and Communications, as saying.
Mr Jha had taken oath in Hindi while the President read in Nepali language. Maithili is the mother tongue of both President Ram Baran Yadav and the Vice-President.
