Kurukshetra to have 44 new sectors

Chandigarh, Jul 25 (UNI) The Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA) plans to develop 44 new sectors in the holy city of Kurukshetra.

Also, two new sectors near Jyotisar and Mirzapur and Transport City in Sector-33 will be developed, a HUDA spokesman said today.

A Sewerage Treatment Plant having capacity of 15 million litre would also be set up at a cost of Rs 11 crore in Sector-6 and 11.

He said 11 sectors had already been developed so far in which 11,965 residential plots had been floated and on that about 7200 residential units had been constructed.

He said during the current financial year, work on various projects was being initiated by the Authority.
