HC stays proceeding against MNS president order
Ranchi, Jul 25 (UNI) Jharkhand High Court today stayed the proceeding against Maharastra Navnirman Sena (MNS) president Raj Thackeray for his alleged remarks against people belonging to Hindi- speaking region.
Justice R R Prasad passed the order while hearing a bail petition filed by Raj Thackeray.
Pandey Neeraj Rai appeared on behalf of Raj Thackeray.
Mr Hameed Raja, a lawyer of Jamshedpur, had filed a complaint case before the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Jamshedpur.
Mr Raja in his petition alleged that Mr Thackeray used unparliamentary language for the people residing in Bihar during an MNS function.
The court had issued warrant against Mr Thackeray against which a petition was filed in the high court by the MNS leader.
Mr Raja in his petition stated that MNS leader's remark was anti-national and unconstitutional and an attack upon a section of people.
