Bopaiah to be Deputy Speaker in Karnataka

Mr Bopaiah, hailing from Madikeri, was appointed as a pro-tem Speaker during the swearing-in-ceremony of the Ministers as confusion prevailed with Mr Jagadish Shettar refusing the post. Sources said Chief Minister B S Yeddiyurappa spoke to Mr Bopaiah on Thursday, July 24 and hinted about the post, they added.
