Army hand grenade blows off, man injured

Faizabad, Jul 25 (UNI) A scrap-dealer today sustained serious injuries after an army hand grenade exploded in the Kotwali Sadar area here.

Mohammad Haidar Ali of Wazirganj colony was trying to open a hand grenade to get some copper and other materials from it, DIG B P Tripathi said.

However, the grenade went off in his hand seriously wounding him. Profusely bleeding Haidar was admitted to hospital.

Meanwhile, police was investigating the source from where the dealer got the army grenade.
