Rolta India profit up at Rs 230.59 cr

Mumbai, Jul 24 (UNI) Geospatial Information Systems (GIS) company Rolta India has registered profit after tax (PAT) of Rs 230.59 crore for FY-08 as against Rs 172.64 crores in FY-07, registering a Year-on-Year growth of 33.6 per cent.

The consolidated revenues grew by 50.7 per cent with FY-08 touching Rs 1,072.21 crore against Rs 711.41 in FY-07, said a release.

The company also had consolidated cash and cash equivalents of over Rs 500 crore as on June 30, and the Board has recommended a dividend of Rs 3 per share for FY-08, against Rs 2.50 per share (post bonus) in FY-07.

Commenting on the results, Chairman and Managing Director, K K Singh said ''In spite of the challenges posed by the prevailing economic climate, we are encouraged by the increasing demand for our solutions and services in domestic and international markets and are increasing the value-proposition for our customers. We have a well thought out growth strategy, strong platform, cohesive strategies and unique business model. We are well poised to meet and exceed our stakeholders' expectations,'' the release added.
