Sesa Goa Q1 net up 442pc at Rs 644.72 cr
New Delhi, Jul 23: Sesa Goa, the country's largest private iron ore exporter, today said its net profit increased 442 per cent to Rs 644.72 crore for the quarter ended June 2008 as compared to Rs 118.86 crore in the same period last year.
The company's total income surged 182 per cent to Rs 1,310.93 crore in the Q1 FY09 from Rs 464.31 crore in Q1 FY08. The Group registered a net profit of Rs 633.07 crore for April-June 2008 from Rs 131.33 crore in the same period previous year, indicating a jump of 382.04 per cent.
Its total income increased 153.85 per cent to Rs 1,341.16 crore in Q1 FY09 from Rs 528.31 crore during the same period last fiscal.
