Musharraf for peaceful solution of Kashmir issue

Islamabad, Jul 22: Pakistan's President Pervez Musharraf has underlined that peaceful solution to the lingering Kashmir dispute is crucial and Pakistan wanted a solution according to the aspirations of Kashmiris.

He said this on Monday, July 21, while talking to Prime Minister of Pakistan-administered Kashmir Sardar Attiq in Murree hill resort some 45 kilometers from here. The meeting lasted for quite a while in which the two leaders discussed the rehabilitation and reconstruction work taking place in areas affected by October 2005 devastating earthquake which killed more than 73,000 people.

Mr Attiq lauded Mr Musharraf for highlighting the Kashmir issue regionally and internationally. The President made it clear that no decision of Kashmir dispute would be acceptable unless the wishes of the Kashmiri people were taken into consideration.
