Rain eludes Delhi but coolness in air remains
New Delhi, Jul 21 (UNI) After a short burst of heavy rains yesterday, there was lull in rainfall activity in Delhi today even though cool winds continued to bring relief from sultry weather for people in the city.
Despite a high level of humidity at 89 per cent, the cool breeze maintained the maximum temperature one degree below normal at 33.8 degrees Celsius.
The minimum was also recorded one degree below normal at 26.2 degrees.
The coolness in the air in Delhi is likely to persist in the next few days with the weatherman forecasting some more spells of rain and thundershowers in the city in the coming days.
The Met office has forecast a partly cloudy sky in the capital during the next 24 hours with one or two spells of rains and thundershowers.
