Voting underway for the first President in Nepal
Kathmandu, Jul 19 (UNI) Voting for the first president and vice president of Nepal has begun at the Constituent Assembly venue at International Convention Centre here this morning.
The voting begun at 1100 hrs local time and will be completed at 1400 hrs local time. The CA meeting scheduled at 1700 hrs (local time) will declare the first president and vice president of the country.
Ram Raja Prasad Singh, Dr Ram Baran Yadav and Ram Prit Paswan are contesting in today's elections vying to be the first president of the world's youngest republic.
Shanta Shrestha, Maan Bahadur Bishwakarma, Asta Laxmi Shakya and Parmananda Jha are the candidates for the vice-presidential post.
