US working to resolve Pak-Afghan border problems
Washington, July 19 : US State Department spokesman Sean McCormack has said that the US was working to help Afghanistan and Pakistan resolve their issues on the "tough problem" of controlling their border.
He said that the US' effort was to make sure that two sides continue to hold bilateral dialogue to resolve issues.
"It is a tough problem controlling that border, there are issues on the Pakistani side, there are issues on the Afghan side, and we are helping both sides work through these issues and would expect that the communications between the Afghans and the Pakistanis will also continue," the Daily Times quoted the spokesman as saying at the daily briefing.
He said a joint investigation team had looked into the incident of the predator drone bombing in the Mohmand Agency. While both countries had arrived upon different results, their continued co-operation in the war against terror would continue, added the spokesman.
