Marathi film to go to Mauritius
Mumbai, Jul 19 (UNI) A five-day international Marathi film festival is being organised from July 25 in Mauritius.
The award winning Marathi films of the last three years will be screened during the first international Marathi festival, which is being organised by Cultural Affairs Department of Maharashtra Government, All India Marathi Films Corporation, Mauritius Films Development Corporation and Mauritius Marathi People's Federation, an official release issued here today said.
Some of these movies are ''Dombivli Fast'', ''Kaydhyancha Bola'', ''Khabardar'', ''Nital'', ''Restaurant'', ''Savli'', ''Tingya'', ''Checkmate'' and Shevri. Seminar and lectures on cultural life of Maharashtra, discussions on Marathi movies and international market for Marathi movies will be held during the festival.
Many stalwarts of Marathi film industry like Mangesh Hadvale, Sanjay Jadhav, Ankush Chowdry, Bipin Nadkarni, Ashok Shinde, Mahesh Kothare, Ajinkay Dev, Kishore Kadam, Neena Kulkarni, Chairman of Akhil Bhartiya Marathi Films Corporation Ajay Sarpotdar and others are expected to participate in the festival.
