Yatra.com to set up 4 new holiday lounges in TN

Chennai, July 17 (UNI) Yatra.com, India's leading online travel company, today announced that it would soon be setting up four new holiday lounges in Tamil Nadu, involving a total investment of Rs One crore.

Talking to newspersons here, Mr Ashish Kishore, Business Head for hotel and retail initiatives, said following the success of three lounges in Chennai, Bangalore and Kochi, yatra.com proposed to set up four more lounges.

He said as Tamil Nadu had good potential, the company would set up the new lounges in Tiruchirapalli, Coimbatore, Maduar and one more in the city. The first lounge, which was set up in the city in April this year receiving more than 500 footfalls a month, he added.

After setting up the four new lounges, Tamil Nadu market was expected to contribute atleast 15 per cent of the company's total revenue from the current 10 per cent, he said.

"Through its online presence and its lounges, yatra.com is targeting a revenue of Rs 1500 crore by the end of the fiscal year 2009-10", Mr Kishore said.

With the launch of new holiday lounges, yatra.com was looking at tapping the innate potential of the region, offering one stop shops for all the travel needs and giving customers the opportunity to research and plan holidays in a leisurely, convenient and comfortable environment, he said.
