UP Guv greets people on Hazrat Ali's birth anniversary

Lucknow, Jul 16 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh Governor T V Rajeswar today greeted people of the state on the eve of Hazrat Ali's birth anniversary and wished them a happy and prosperous life.

In a message, Mr Rajeswar said Hazrat Ali, the son-in-law of Prophet Mohammed and fourth Caliph, was born at the Holy shrine of Kaaba on the 13th of lunar month ''Rajab''. He was known for his authority over the Holy Quran and leading a simple life.

Mr Ali's teaching are still relevant for the present society, he added.
